Brands we service
SKiC services chillers, rooftops, precision units and printing industry equipment of all major brands. We are an independent service company: we work after the manufacturer’s warranty has ended and we are not an authorised service partner of any brand.
F-gas company certificate. A report with measurements after every visit. Mobile service in Poland and the EU.
Most plants we visit run a mix of equipment bought over twenty years from different suppliers: a screw chiller from one manufacturer, a scroll unit added during an extension, rooftops on the warehouse and a process cooler next to a production line. A maintenance team does not want a separate contractor for each logo. Our technicians work on the refrigerant circuit, the water side, the electrics and the controller of each of these units, using the same method every time: measurements first, diagnosis second, repair third, and a written report after every visit.
Brands and equipment we work on
The table below lists the brands our teams service most often, the type of equipment we usually find on site and the topics that come up in service. It describes our practical experience, not a partnership with the manufacturer.
| Brand | Typical equipment on site | Typical service topics |
|---|---|---|
| Trane | Air-cooled and water-cooled screw chillers, scroll chillers, rooftops | Screw compressor oil management, EXV and sensor faults, condenser coil condition, controller alarm history |
| Carrier | Scroll and screw chillers, rooftops, 69NT40 container refrigeration units | Refrigerant on phased-out HFCs, compressor replacement, fan motors, container units used as stationary cold stores |
| Daikin | Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, heat pumps | Leak checks, inverter and fan faults, evaporator approach, low-pressure trips in winter |
| York | Scroll and screw chillers | Compressor wear, oil return, condenser fans, sensor calibration |
| Aermec | Chillers and heat pumps for comfort and process cooling | Flow switch trips, plate heat exchanger fouling, defrost problems in heat pumps |
| Clivet | Chillers and heat pumps, packaged units | Expansion valve faults, controller replacement, retrofit of older electronics |
| Climaveneta | Chillers with free cooling, heat pumps | Free cooling valves and glycol, compressor rotation, part-load control |
| Lennox | Rooftop units (for example Baltic series), chillers | Economiser dampers, gas burner and heating section, eClimatic and Climatic controllers, filters and belts |
| CIAT | Chillers and heat pumps | Connect controller parameters, compressor faults, water side protection |
| Riedel | Industrial process chillers | Stable supply temperature, pump and tank condition, leak tightness |
| MTA | Process chillers, refrigerated compressed air dryers | Dew point, hot gas bypass, condenser cleaning |
| Clint | Chillers with scroll and screw compressors | Inspections of units in continuous operation, inverters, condenser fans |
| Hiross | Older process chillers and dryers, precision units | Capacity tests, decisions on repair or replacement, parts availability |
| Blue Box | Chillers and heat pumps | Compressor protection, water flow, controller settings |
| Stulz | Precision air conditioning for server rooms | Humidifiers, EC fans, redundancy and alarms |
| technotrans | Offset dampening units and cooling units for printing presses | Dampening solution temperature, cooling circuit, conductivity probes, pumps |
| Baldwin | Dampening solution recirculation and filtration for printing | Filtration, level control, probe calibration |
Equipment from other manufacturers is not excluded. If your unit is not in the table, send us the nameplate photo and a short description of the fault, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Independent service: what it means in practice
We are not an authorised service of Trane, Carrier, Daikin or any other brand listed here, and we do not carry out warranty work on behalf of manufacturers. We start when the warranty has ended or when the owner decides to change the service contractor. For the maintenance department this has three consequences:
- Parts are sourced from the manufacturer’s distribution, from specialised wholesalers or as equivalent components (compressors, valves, sensors, contactors, fan motors) with matching technical data. We always state in the offer which option we propose.
- Access to service software and passwords differs between brands. Where the controller is locked, we work with the data available on the display, our own measurements and, where needed, a controller replacement or a new control panel.
- Our report is independent of any sales interest of the manufacturer, so the recommendation to repair, retrofit or replace is based on measurements and on the economics of your plant.
Controllers and electronics by brand
Factory controllers
Each manufacturer uses its own controller family with its own alarm codes and parameter structure. We read the alarm history before we touch anything, because the sequence of events (for example a high pressure trip followed by a fan motor protection) usually points to the cause faster than the last displayed alarm.
When the original controller is no longer available
On older units we often find failed or obsolete controllers. In such cases we can design a new control panel based on a Siemens PLC with an HMI panel, web visualisation and SMS or e-mail alarms. This is described in more detail on the controls and remote monitoring page.

What to send us before the first visit
- A photo of the nameplate of each unit (model, serial number, refrigerant type and charge).
- The alarm list or a photo of the controller display with active alarms.
- The service history, if available: last leak check, last compressor work, recent refills.
- A description of the application: process or comfort cooling, supply and return temperatures, glycol or water.
With this information the technician arrives with the right tools, refrigerant and the most likely spare parts, which saves a second trip. You will find examples of what we did on units of these brands on the projects and our repairs pages.
Questions from maintenance teams
Are you an authorised service partner of these brands?
No. SKiC is an independent service company. Brand names are used only to describe the equipment we work on.
Will your service affect the manufacturer’s warranty?
We work on units after the warranty has ended. If your unit is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer’s authorised service first.
Can you get original spare parts?
In most cases yes, through distribution and wholesalers. Where originals are unavailable or have long lead times, we propose equivalent parts and state this clearly in the offer.
Do you service printing industry equipment as well?
Yes, technotrans and Baldwin units are a regular part of our work. See printing industry cooling.
What if my brand is not listed?
Send us the nameplate and a description. We will confirm whether we can take the job before any cost is incurred.
Mixed equipment, one service contractor
Send us the list of units with nameplate photos and we will prepare a service proposal for the whole plant.
