Process cooling
Stable cooling for production machines, injection moulds, lasers, hydraulics and compressed air, all year round.
F-gas company certificate. A report with measurements after every visit. Mobile service in Poland and the EU.
Process cooling is different from comfort cooling. A building can be a degree warmer for an hour. An injection mould, a laser or a hydraulic press cannot. When the cooling water drifts, cycle times grow, dimensions go out of tolerance and machines stop on temperature alarms. SKiC services the equipment that keeps process temperatures stable: process chillers, oil coolers, dry coolers with free cooling, pumps, buffer tanks and glycol circuits.
Equipment we look after
| Equipment | Where it works | Typical problems |
|---|---|---|
| Process chillers | Injection moulding, extrusion, CNC, laser cutting | Temperature drift, flow alarms, refrigerant leaks |
| Oil coolers | Machine tools, presses, hydraulic units | Oil too warm in the afternoon, compressor faults |
| Dry coolers and free cooling | Plants with all-year cooling load | Fouled coils, failed fans, free cooling not used |
| Pumps and hydraulics | All closed cooling circuits | Worn seals, low flow, cavitation |
| Compressed air cooling | Compressor rooms before dryers | High air temperature, water in the network |

Typical causes of unstable process temperature
Too little water in the system
Small process circuits without a buffer tank make the chiller cycle on and off. The water temperature swings with every start. A correctly sized buffer tank often solves the problem without touching the chiller.
Load larger than the chiller
New machines are added over the years, but the chiller stays the same. We measure the real load and the available capacity and tell you whether the chiller can be supported, for example with free cooling, or needs to be replaced.
Glycol and water quality
Sludge, corrosion products and wrong glycol concentration reduce heat transfer in the mould channels and heat exchangers. We check the fluid and flush the circuit when needed.
Free cooling
In Central Europe the outdoor air is cold enough for a large part of the year to cool process water without running compressors. A dry cooler with the right controls can take over the load in winter and support the chiller in spring and autumn. We design, install and service free cooling systems, including automatic switching and remote monitoring.

Standby and redundancy
For processes that cannot stop, we build systems with a standby chiller or pump that starts automatically on failure, with alarms sent by SMS and e-mail. See also controls and remote monitoring.

Questions from maintenance teams
Can you service a small laser chiller?
Yes. Small units are often repaired in our workshop, which is cheaper than a site visit.
Do you supply process chillers?
Yes, together with our partner company ChillerTech, which sells new and refurbished units.
Can free cooling be added to an existing system?
In many cases yes. We assess the system and prepare a proposal.
Process temperature unstable?
Send us the machine type, the chiller nameplate and the temperature problem. We will propose diagnostics.
